Cat leads the Siberian city in voting intentions

A cat named Barsik turned celebrity in Barnaul, a city in Siberia, leading off with the voting intentions for the municipal elections, according to an online survey.

They followed the corruption scandals that have affected this city of 650,000 inhabitants helped Barsik a Scottish Fold 18 months to get 91% of the vote for mayor in a survey by Altaï Online information site.

About 5,400 people responded to the survey posted in early December in the Russian social network Vkontakte.

The municipal elections will take place on December 22
