About 200 people denounced on Sunday the "racism" of the Republican candidate for the White House Donald Trump for his proposals against Latinos and Muslims, in an act in front of his luxury building on Fifth Avenue in New York, the Trump Tower.
"Say no to fascism. Say no to Trump", "Trump does America hate again," "The attack on Islam is racism," said some of the banners carried by demonstrators on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 56th Street, in Midtown Manhattan.
"We started the protests in July when he said that Mexicans were drug dealers, criminals and rapists. Today, we are here because offended the Muslim community", told AFP the cook Jaime González, a native of Puebla, in Mexico, there 34 years in New York.
Several supporters of real estate mogul also took to the streets with posters to support their presidential candidate.
On December 7, Trump called a temporary ban on the entry of Muslims in the country, after the attacks in Paris and California committed by Islamists radicalized.
In the middle of the year, he had already caused a stir with his statements about Mexican immigration, promising to build a wall on the US-Mexico border and drive the Mexicans living clandestinely in the United States.
