Baghdad 16 Ten (E) .- The US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, arrived on Wednesday to Baghdad on an unannounced visit, part of his tour of the Middle East to get more support for the military campaign against the terrorist group Islamic State (EI).
Carter, who is accompanied by a military delegation, will meet with Iraqi officials, including Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi and Defense holder, Khaled al Obeidi, told Efe an Iraqi official source.
The US leads a coalition formed by 65 countries bombing a year ago the positions of the EI jihadists in Syria and Iraq.
