Michael Jackson died six years ago and his most famous album, "Thriller", has completed 33 years. But even so, the King of Pop the disc keeps breaking records.
On Wednesday (16), the album the singer was recognized as the first album to sell 30 million copies in the United States, receiving the 30th time the platinum certificate, given to albums that sell 1 million copies.
In addition to the impressive number, "Thriller" still boasts the biggest brands in the world market: there were more than 100 million copies sold around the globe.
"Thriller" was released in November 1982 and, besides the title track, also had the hits "Beat It" and "Billie Jean." The record stood for two and a half among the 100 most sold in the US and topped the charts for 37 consecutive weeks.
