Soybean rises in Chicago for bargain shopping, more rain in Brazil limited gains

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Futures contracts of soybeans in the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) closed higher on Tuesday on bargain buying after five fall sessions, but the recovery was limited by rain forecast in parts of Brazil, including Midwest, producer of soybeans region, traders said.

Soybeans for March closed at a high of 4.50 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $ 8.6575 a bushel.

Corn futures contracts closed higher by a round of selling roofing held by investors after prices fall to minimum contract for a second day, traders said.

Corn for March closed up 1.5 US cent, or 0.48 percent, to $ 3.625 a bushel, after touching a historic low of 3.57 US dollars per bushel.

The first wheat contract rose nearly 2 percent and reached maximum a week for bargain shopping and concerns about prospects for crops in southern US Midwest region, traders said.

Wheat for March was up 9.25 cents, ending at $ 4.7575 per bushel.
