A John Lennon strand of hair, cut short when he was preparing for a film in 1967, was auctioned for $ 35,000.
The Heritage Auctions, based in Dallas, confirmed on Saturday (20/02) that the piece of four inches of hair was bought by Paul Fraser, one memorabilia collector from the UK.
A German hairdresser kept a Lennon's hair tuft after clipping a bit late Beatle's locks before filming the comedy "How I Won The War."
The wick was just one of several items related to the Beatles that were auctioned. Beyond it, an iconic photo of the band signed by four members was sold for $ 42,500, while a copy yet closed the cover of the album "Yesterday And Today" cost $ 125,000.
