Smartphones have increasingly been the target of huge technological development. The Reflex, new launch of LG, which uses a flexible OLED, is the cell that allows it to be completely folding. That's it!
The first flexible cell phone, combines inputs curves with standard multi-touch capability, meaning you can use the interaction to the touch, like any other smartphone, but also interact with the device through its malleability.
Prime examples that were given by the creators are the game Angry Birds and also reading, where the user can turn pages by the device's flexibility.
Human Media Lab at Queen's University, in the United States, is the team responsible for the project. "It's the same architecture as you would on an Android smartphone," said Paul Strohmeier, a researcher at the US vehicle "Mashable"
The device is a materialization of ideas that have been studied for a long time, more than a decade ago. "We started working with flexible viewing interfaces for 12 years, with prototypes," said researcher Roel Vertegaal the "Mashable". They do not intend to stop anytime soon.
"Future plans include the detailed design elements increasingly customized by users," Vertegaal said. "We also hope that the marketing of it is made within the next three to five years," he added.
