Actor Leonardo DiCaprio reveals that turned down the role of Anakin Skywalker in the movies "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones" (2002) and "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" (2005). The interview was published by the British magazine "Shortlist".
DiCaprio has confirmed that he met with George Lucas. The paper, however, was for the actor Hayden Christensen. "I had a meeting with George Lucas yes," he said. "I just did not feel ready to take the plunge at the moment."
The actor also revealed that refused the chance to play Robin in "Batman Forever" and Spider-Man Tobey Maguire before.
"I did not get to take the test for Robin. I met with Joel Schumacher, but only one meeting. I did not want to play the role. Joel is a talented director, but I thought I was not ready for something like this," he said the actor.
About Spider-Man, DiCaprio said that the situation was similar to that invitation to Robin. "I felt I was ready to wear that uniform."
DiCaprio, however, did not rule out playing a hero in the movies. "You never know. These personages are getting better and complex. I do not have anything yet. But do not discount".
