Scientists at Wyoming University have revealed that the disappearance of the ancient civilizations that existed in the last 10,000 years has been provoked by globalization.

Because of the process, the disappearance of a civilization caused a chain reaction and extinction of other cultures, explained the scientists in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Experts have studied historical documents from the last 130 years as well as the results of radiocarbon tests of numerous fossils up to 10,000 years old found in different parts of our planet.

Based on test results, scientists were able to estimate energy consumption in various historical periods and assess the level of interconnection between them.

According to the researchers, the levels of energy consumption in several ancient human societies were practically the same. The process of globalization could have contributed to the simultaneous collapse of various civilizations due to vulnerability to environmental changes caused by socio-economic development.

These factors should be taken into account when assessing cooperation between modern states, the globalization process, and the formulation of stable human development policies, scientists have pointed out.

Previously, scientists have established that the extinction of several ancient human civilizations could have been caused by ecological catastrophes such as air pollution, soil erosion and deforestation.
