Virtual reality seems to be a Google trend in 2016. In all the news surrounding this technology and the company last week, now there is talk of plans to introduce 360 degree videos live on YouTube.

The site already offers images and immersive type video, but add a live 360-degree tool would take things to another level

Citing multiple sources familiar with the matter, a news portal report BuzzFeed claims that YouTube has met with 360-degree camera manufacturers to discuss details of the offering immersive live broadcasts through the popular video-sharing platform.

These are all details that the report provides, without citing any release date. YouTube itself has not announced any product type. However, with strong indications in recent weeks that Google is developing a virtual reality camera, it is not difficult to see that the company is preparing to put your own camera in the hands of thousands of interested YouTubers to reproduce virtual reality transmissions to alive.

How does this reconcile with the possible future competitors virtual reality cameras with whom YouTube has spoken is impossible to know, but even if Google is developing its own camera, it makes sense that the company bring out manufacturers for it just to be sure that enough virtual reality content produced by users come to the site.
