Bob Dylan has won Oscar, Golden Globe, Grammy and Pulitzer
Bob Dylan became on Thursday, 13, the prize artist to collect the Nobel Prize, and at least one Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy.
In 2007, he had been honored with the Prince of Asturias, granted by the Spanish royal family, and in 2008 the special category of the Pulitzer Prize, "for his profound impact on American music." It is also in the Hall of Fame Rock 'n Roll.
At the Grammys are 43 indications (the first for his debut album, Bob Dylan, in 1962, in the category folk) and 12 trophies, the latest in 2016 with The Bootleg Series Vol. 11: The Basement Tapes Complete in historical album category.
In 2001, he took the Oscar and Golden Globe for the song Things Have Changed from Wonder Boys (Wonder Boys), Curtis Hanson film based on the novel by Michael Chabon.
He accepted the Oscar on occasion satellite, because I was on tour in Australia, and since the award plays the song at concerts of his endless tour.
In 2012, he received from the hands of Barack Obama the Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor the US, given to those who made "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, or cultural initiatives and significant in the public sphere. "
A year later, in 2013, he received the Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur, the Legion of Honor, the most important recognition of France, established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802.
Also in France he had already received the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts and Letters), delivered by that country's Ministry of Culture since 1957.
The Polar Music Prize - called the "Nobel Prize of Music", awarded in Sweden - has also been his in 2000.
Among other honors, Dylan also received honorary doctoral degrees from Princeton University in New Jersey, and St. Andrews University in Scotland.
