Was Vice Mike Pence plotting to take Trump's place in 2020?

The New York Times published an article yesterday saying Pence's advisors were looking for donors for their own campaign in 2020. The potential truth of this article could mean that Pence is disloyal to US President Donald Trump or expects the leader Does not run for re-election.

"The article in the New York Times is horrible and offensive to me, my family, and the entire team." The allegations in this article are categorically untrue and represent only the last attempt by the media to divide this Administration, "Pence said in a statement released by the House White.


The US official added that despite any "false news," his team would continue to work on the implementation of Trump's agenda and the re-election of the incumbent president.

Trump won the presidential election in November 2018 beating Democratic Party candidate Hillary Clinton. The victory took Pence to the post of vice president of the country. A total of 14 former US vice presidents were later presidents including Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Richard Nixon and George Herbert Walker Bush.
