Decree extinguishing reserve in the Amazon is suspended by Justice

The 21st Federal Court decided on Wednesday (30) to suspend the controversial decree signed by President Michel Temer on Monday, which would end the National Reserve of Copper and Associates (Renca).

"The 21st Federal Court partially granted an injunction to immediately suspend any administrative act aimed at extinguishing the National Reserve of Copper and Associates (Renca), without prior observance of the constitutional guarantee established in article 225, paragraph 1, item III, of Lei Maior, "the statement said.

According to the decision, areas of environmental protection can only be changed or extinguished by means of "law, any use that compromises the integrity of the attributes that justify its protection" is prohibited.

On the 22nd, Brazilian President Michel Temer published a decree extinguishing the National Reserve of Copper and Associates (Renca), an immense area located between the states of Pará and Amapá, with 46,450 square kilometers, which triggered a series of Criticisms, including international ones, against its administration.

After many discussions and protests last night, a new decree was issued, giving more details on the region's exploration plans but maintaining the extinction of the reserve. Like the first one, this new decree has also been subject to harsh criticism, and is considered by many as an attempt to deceive public opinion about the harmful consequences of the Planalto decision.

President Temer, unfortunately "works at the service of shady interests" simply thinking of his political future and maintaining his allies, which are not worth a cent.

They are selling the Amazon, lung of the world, let's do something: give us suggestions, let's not end our lungs.

This corrupt Brazilian president and "gangs of corrupt deputies" are a disgrace to the world, we must void our vote next year.
