Pyongyang increases production of missiles and engines for solid-fuel missiles

Kim Jong-un se comunica com os altos representantes do Instituto de Pesquisa em Materiais Químicos da Academia da Defesa Nacional
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un inspected the Chemical Materials Research Institute of the North Korean Academy of National Defense and ordered increased production of ogives and solid fuel engines, local media reported.

"He ordered the institute to increase production of solid-fuel missile engines and ozzle tips using high-precision machines and composite and carbon materials," KCNA said.

The media, however, did not indicate the date of the North Korean leader's visit to the institute dedicated to the development of warheads for intercontinental missiles and the production of carbon materials that are used in the construction of missile nozzles.

However, the KCNA revealed other curious details of the visit. Upon arrival at the institute, Kim Jong-un said he wants to know the current situation of production and provide his assistance. He noted that over the past few years the Chemical Materials Research Institute of the National Defense Academy has contributed immensely to the patriotic struggle aimed at overcoming ultra-modern goals backed by the priority policy given to national science and technology.

The North Korean leader said officials of the institute "have fought, selflessly and silently, for the realization of the Party's policy for national defense science, while preserving cordial and unconditional loyalty to the Party."

The visit took place in an environment of unprecedented tension between the West and the US, in particular, and Pyongyang. In July, North Korea carried out successful tests of an intercontinental ballistic missile, after which the UN Security Council introduced new sanctions against the country.

As a result, there was an exchange of harsh declarations between the US and North Korean leaders, which led to a further escalation of tension on the peninsula.
