CPI holds seminar on Tuesday on cybersecurity during Olympics
The Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) of the Cybercrime promotes seminar on Tuesday (29) to discuss cyber security during the Olympic Games Rio 2016.

The debate was requested by Members Silas Freire (PR-PI) and Delegate Eder Mauro (PSD-PA), which expressed concern about the possibility of terrorist acts. Lawmakers cited articles published in national circulation of vehicles according to which the Brazilian Association of Intelligence (Abin) would have detected major threat recruitment of young Brazilians.

According to Deputy Silas Freire, extremist situation is preocuopante because the Islamic State attacks anyone who does not accept the teachings of the Koran. According to him, the Brotherhood called a radical Islamic organization, operates in 70 countries, and Brazil, which is a secular state, accept any foreign person, believing that they are people of peace. However, says the parliamentarian, it is not known if there are Brazilians linked to the Islamic State.

"These radical extremists threaten a cyberattack. Does Brazil is not on the list of countries to be attacked, since the virtual world is weakened in every way? We can not treat only physical war, people bomb, but cyber war. It is clear that our security is fragile, you can not let it happen the first attack later to find solutions, "he adds.

Delegate Eder Mauro warns that this possibility has been the subject of discussion between representatives of Staff, the Ministry of Justice, the Office of Institutional Security (GSI); Federal Police; and the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (ABIN). He points out, however, that the government does not want to call attention to the problem, since the Islamic State has been successful in arregim, entar followers.

"From the investigations, although Brazil does not have terrorism history, the Islamic State of interest is to expand the spectrum of recruitment of new members to South America. The event [Olympic Games] will gather in Rio de Janeiro not only young people from all Brazilian regions, but also around the world athletes and visitors, "he says.
