Shopping malls, supermarkets and shops are usually the quietest places in the cities. This agitation can be even more annoying for people with autism. An English shop has decided to promote an action of "quiet time" moment that would prefer to silence, for the benefit of customers with this disorder.

Located in Cheetham Hill in Manchester, the retailer Asda, from May 7, at 8:00, will turn off the escalators, put the songs on mute, as well as tv sets. The goal is to make the environment more stable and pleasant to those with greater difficulty concentrating.

People who hold autism, according to the National Autism Society of the United States, may be more sensitive to loud noises and have focus and concentration problems, on their own. The idea of "quiet time" came from the store manager, Simon Lea,I decided to introduce her after witnessing one of his clients with difficulties because of the noise inside the store.

"After the event, talked with colleagues and customers to see which would be the best way to help our customers with autism," said Lea through a statement. "For many years, I suffered from anxiety and hated crowded places. If we can promote small changes for improvement and comfort, we do it. "
