California-Hundreds of protesters broke through barriers and threw eggs against police outside a hotel where Donald Trump attended a Republican Convention. Trumpdefenders were beaten, but there were no reports of serious injuries.
The protest took place on Friday, a day after protesters opposed to Trump to take the streets in Southern California, blocking traffic and damaging five police cars in Costa Mesa, following a speech by the entrepreneur, who is leading the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
Protesters in both places shook Mexican flags in protest against the tough positionof Trump on immigration and his disparaging remarks about Mexico.
Because of the protest, Trump was directed to an entry on the back. "This was not the easiest entrance I've ever done," said Trump, when he began to talk to the delegates to the Convention. "It felt like I was crossing the border."
