Entitled "Time Capsules. By the side of the road" ("Time Capsules. At the side of the road" in free translation), an exhibition organized by the German filmmaker Wim Wenders meets in Berlin images of Germany and the United States of his own authorship.
Wenders is famous for films like "Paris, Texas", "Wings of Desire," "Buena Vista Social Club" and more recently was nominated for an Oscar for the documentary "Salt of the Earth" about the photographer Sebastião Salgado, who directed together the son of Brazil, fellow filmmaker Juliano Ribeiro Salgado.
In the photos, the filmmaker depicts desolate landscapes and explores themes of movement and travel, memory, time, loss and nostalgia.
"I see myself as a performer, as a translator, a guardian, if you prefer stories that places tell me," says Wenders.
The exhibition ". Time Capsules By the side of the road" is on display in the gallery Blain | Southern Berlin in Berlin until November 14, 2015.
