Brasília - The national president of the OAB, Claudio Lamachia, received on Wednesday (23) the President of the Federal Council of Medicine (CFM), Carlos Vital, and the legal director of the Brazilian Medical Association (AMA), Carlos Michaelis Junior.

The agenda of the match was a complaint of the two institutions to OAB on thousands of preventable deaths in the Unified Health System (SUS), every day, throughout Brazil, for lack of medicines and infrastructure.

"The money goes down the drain of corruption should be invested in all social areas. The ladies here bring me contumacious examples that health is one of the most affected areas. In short, this means that corruption has taken lives, "he asserted Lamachia.

The president of CFM recalled the poor infrastructure of public hospitals in the country. "These are basic issues of health care that are missing. They lack the basic chemotherapy protocols, hemodialysis access conditions, radiotherapy, attn child motherhood, and patients simply die. Daily, are mowed lives of citizens by completely preventable causes, "lamented Carlos Vital.

Carlos Michaelis Júnior, representative of AMB, argued that "the wounds on public health and the unpreparedness of the federal government in dealing with such emergency matters are regrettable, reasons that could indubitable underpin social discontent with the government."
