Most MEPs in the committee is in favor of impeachment

Paulo Maluf: deputy voting exchange last week assured the committee that most Jovair Arantes report is approved.


65 holders of the Special Committee of the House impeachment, 35 claim to be favorable to the removal of President Dilma Rousseff, according to the Scoreboard newspaper Impeachment O Estado de S. Paulo.

Ocolegiado formed majority in favor of Dilma offside process on Thursday, with the change of position of Deputy Paulo Maluf (PP-SP).

With voting Maluf, the commission now has enough MPs to approve the opinion of the rapporteur, Jovair Arantes (PTB-GO), which says that the complaint against the president has "all legal and political conditions" to be accepted.

Of the holders of the committee, 20 members say they are against the removal of Dilma, 8 are undecided and 2 declined to answer. Until 23h15 yesterday, the score recorded 291 votes in favor and 115 against the impeachment. There were also 61 undecided and 46 in the group who did not want to answer.
