Wikileaks, online platform responsible for the leak of thousands of confidential documents on the Internet criticized on Wednesday (06/04) the management of the information contained in so-called Panama Papers.

"By censoring more than 99% of the documents, you are committed to only 1% of journalism," said WikiLeaks in your account ing Twitter.

The organization had led by its founder and editor in chief, Julian Assange, has initiated a survey of Twitter users wondering if Panama Papers should be available online in full mode, as is the hallmark of Wikileaks.

However, Gerald Ryle, director of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) - one of the organizations behind the disclosure of Panama Papers - told the US magazine Wired that the documents will not be published online. "We are not Wikileaks. We try to show that journalism can be done in a responsible manner," he said.
Wikileaks spokesman and Icelandic investigative journalist Kristinn Hrafnsson said the Russian international broadcaster RT does not agree with the decision of the ICIJ.

"That's what we would do with the Panama Papers; they must be made available to the general public, so that everyone, not only the group of journalists working directly with the data, can analyze them," noted Hrafnsson.

The Panama Papers consist of 11.5 million documents obtained by German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung through anonymous sources that expose information about politicians and personalities who supposedly would perform business in tax havens.

The data were shared with ICIJ, who coordinated the disclosure thereof in conjunction with media outlets around the world. In Brazil, participated in the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo, the Internet portal UOL and Rede TV !.

In Germany, at least 28 banks were identified in Panama Papers, including Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank, and several individuals.
