The paid version without advertising Youtube may already be with the release date set. According to recode the site sent emails to the owners of videos warning that would update its terms of service and asking them to accept the new terms until 22 October.
If users do not update their acceptance of the terms of service by that date, the Youtube warns that your videos "are no longer available for public viewing or for monetization in the United States." It is possible therefore that mark the October 22 release date for the new service.
Recode also said that, according to sources from the industry videos, YouTube will charge $ 10 per month so that users can watch videos on the platform without the need to view trade and use an updated version of its music service. The information, however, is still rather speculative.
Users who do not wish to subscribe to the paid version of the site can continue to assisir the videos hosted on it normally. You only need to watch (or skip) the advertisements that pass before some videos, as happens today.
Communication
In the email sent to the creators of videos, Youtube argues that wants to ensure that those who pay to watch videos without advertisements can access the same collection that users of the free version of the site. Hence the need for change in terms of service.
The platform compares the current process of updating terms of service three years ago when the site began to distribute and monetize content on mobile platforms. Currently, according to YouTube, smartphones and tablets accounted for more than half of the total site viewing time, and the revenue generated from such devices has doubled in one year here.
