Barack Obama: The high coincides with the optimism of people in relation to the US economy
WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama's approval rating is on the rise thanks to the improved economic outlook and the strong support of young people.
Survey conducted by the Associated Press-Gfk showed that half of the 1,076 adults interviewed between March 31 and April 4 revealed approve the job the president is doing in the United States, which is the highest percentage of approval since 2013.
The high coincides with the apparent slight increase in optimism of people in relation to the US economy. The survey also revealed that young and Democrats are the main contributors to the best assessment of Obama.
According to the survey, 55% of people under 50 years of age gave good rating to the current president, which means an increase of 10 percentage points compared to February. Among Democrats, the approval rating rose from 80% to 86%.
