The giant African lake is disappearing

Lake Chad, which is in the framework of border countries in the Sahel region in Africa is fading.

The lake has had 25,000 km square in the 1960s.

But the past 50 years, about 90% of the lake area disappeared.
The dry part is so great that it is now being used for agriculture.
