Geneva - The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed on Friday a new case of Ebola in Liberia, after on Thursday a woman with this disease died during his transfer to a hospital in Monrovia, the capital.

Laboratory results showed that the woman, 30, had acquired the virus Ebola, which is that this is the third outbreak in Liberia since the original infection was given as completed on May 9, 2015.

Given the news, the Ministry of Health of Liberia, together with WHO and associated agencies, sent a team to Monrovia community where the woman lived and the clinic where he tried to initiate an investigation and identify those who had contact with her .

In addition, this morning the country's authorities held an emergency meeting to coordinate a rapid response plan.

This is the first time back to be confirmed a case of Ebola in the country after the last outbreak that started from November 2015 occurred by finalized on 14 January.

Liberia is not the only country that still suffers isolated outbreaks of the epidemic, since neighboring Guinea detected eight cases in recent months, caused by a contagion with semen of a survivor, and remains under surveillance thousand other individuals.

Last March 29, the WHO decided to announce that the Ebola epidemic has not a health emergency of international concern because the last contagions not correspond to the original transmission network.

Yet, since the organization sources assumed that in the future there may be more cases due to surge as the Guinea originated survivors.
