Hillary exceeds Trump in traditionally Republican State
Atlanta - A new poll by the largest media vehicle of Georgia shows a slight advantage for Hillary Clinton ahead of Donald Trump - a surprising result in a state where the last favored Democratic candidate was Bill Clinton in 1992.
The poll surveyed 847 voters of the state, and was released today by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. In it, Clinton appears with 44% of the vote, compared to 40% of Trump.
The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points. In May, the same survey showed Trump ahead with 45% to 41%.
In 2008, President Barack Obama received 47% of votes. And in 2012, 46%. Source: Dow Jones Newswires.
