Former player Ronaldo opens the 1st soccer schools

Less than five months after announcing his new project, Ronaldo will inaugurate this week the first franchises its network of football schools. The goal of the former player is to get in a hundred units in five years.



São Paulo, Campinas and São José do Rio Preto are the first three cities to receive the Phenomenon academies.

As background to have initiated the endeavor is the current situation of Brazilian football. For the former striker, there is a great deficiency in the formation of new players, which, according to his opinion, the CBF did not do.

The academies also have social character. They are reserved 20% of the positions of all the franchises for children and teenagers. Some partnerships have already been established with universities in the United States and Europe. The aim is to offer scholarships to those who excel.

"We want to form good citizens, who have interaction and know how to work collectively," said Carlos Wizard, Ronaldo partner in the project, founder of Multi Group and president of Green World.
The inauguration will take place on 28, 29 and 30 September in Campinas, São José do Rio Preto and São Paulo (São Miguel Paulista), respectively. There will be a press conference at the three sites, at 11 am, with the presence of Ronaldo.
