Germany toughens asylum rules

With the lowest level of popularity in a year, German Chancellor Angela Merkel approved in the cabinet a tightening of asylum rules in Germany.

Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo were declared safe countries, asylum applications from these countries are going to be rejected outright and expulsions will become faster.

As of November will also be simplifying procedures and cuts in monetary assistance to asylum seekers, material assistance or services will be privileged.

The new measures have yet to be approved in parliament.

The German government is in effort to address the wave of migrants, but the reception conditions become poor against the excess of people and ethnic rivalries. Conflicts emerge as a field in Calden, where clashes have forced the police intervention on Sunday.

"There is room for six thousand people inside this field and I can not get food because there are always discussions and conflicts in the queues," says one refugee.

The registration hostile feelings face to newcomers also rises. The number of criminal offenses and attacks against refugee camps more than doubled this year to 437 cases.

The migration crisis gains amplitude, it is estimated that by the end of the year enter Europe up to one million people seeking asylum.
