Hillary Clinton beats Trump in election poll
Hillary Clinton rose four points in electoral preference after the Democratic National Convention, and exceeds now the Republican Donald Trump for seven points in the race for the White House, according to a CBS News network research.
Hillary records 46% against 39% of Trump.
After the Republican Convention, before the Democratic week, Trump won two points and the contest was tied.
Clinton still faces a big problem, the low opinion that many Americans have it, but it has declined somewhat since the Philadelphia convention last week, according to the survey.
About 50% of registered voters have a negative opinion of Clinton compared with 36% who see it positively.
The positive opinion has increased by five points and the negative fell in six.
According to the survey, 31% of voters were left with a positive impression of Trump, almost the same as before the Republican Convention. But 52% have a bad opinion about him.
The survey was conducted between 29 and 31 July with 1,393 people and has a margin of error of three points.
