Military aircraft from India disappears with 29 people on board
New Delhi / Mumbai - An aircraft of the Indian Air Force with 29 people on board disappeared on Friday during a flight to a chain of remote islands in the Bay of Bengal, informed the Indian Ministry of Defense.
The Russian aircraft AN-32 was en route to Port Blair, capital of India's Andaman and Nicobar islands after from Chennai, the southeast of the city, when disappeared from radar.

The plane was detected by radar last 151 miles nautical east of Chennai, when maneuvered to the left and lost height rapidly, to 23 thousand feet, according to the note sent by the Air Force to the Ministry of Defence.
There were 21 soldiers on board, including six crew members. The others were in service families of soldiers on the islands.
"It was a routine mail delivery mission to Port Blair, the plane was in the air at 8:30 am and should land at 11:30 am," said the spokesman for the Air Force, commander Anupam Banerjee.
The aircraft had fuel for 4 hours and 15 minutes of flight. The aircraft was renovated and underwent an update in September 2015, according to the statement, which also said that he had three problems this month - a pressure leak in the port door, a hydraulic leak and a slowdown in the throttle movement .
