US sanction Kim Jong-Un for abuse of human rights

The United States announced on Wednesday financial sanctions against the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-Un, and 10 other employees of its communist regime for violations of human rights.

Kim was first blacklisted by the Treasury Department and its US assets will be frozen after a report from the State Department that has provided accounts of "serious human rights violations in North Korea", he reported the Treasury .

"Under Kim Jong-Un, North Korea continues to cause intolerable cruelty and misery to millions of their own people, including extrajudicial killings, forced labor and torture", dijo Adam Szubin, undersecretary due to the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence .

Among employees also sanctioned is the Minister of Security Seguridad Choe Pu Il, his adviser Ri Song Chol and the director of the Ministry of State Security, Kang Nam Song.

Five entities, including the ministry in charge of censorship, have also been included in the American blacklist.

North Korea is already subject to international sanctions, and especially American, for its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
