Brazil is voted the second most beautiful transgender woman in the world

The mining model Valesca Dominik Ferraz, 23, ranked second in the beauty contest Miss International Queen 2015 which elects transgender women more beautiful in the world.

The ceremony, held in Thailand on Friday (6), crowned the representative of the Philippines Michelle Binas. Sopida Siriwattananukoon, Miss Thailand, completed the podium in third place.

The Brazilian, who works as a hairdresser, was the black one to participate in this year's contest. "For me it is important to show how difficult it is to be trans and black because the prejudice comes from both sides," the participant said in an interview for the organization of the event.

Although Valesca was not the winner, the beauty of transgender woman in Brazil had already been recognized by the Miss International Queen earlier. In 2013, the model Marcela Ohio was voted the most beautiful trans in the world. At the time, she also won the Brazilian Roberta Holland, who was among the 25 participants of the competition.
