Son of Thompson Lake, died six months before the wedding ceremony
An American whose son died of leukemia, has managed to include a faded Boy image in your wedding photos and generated excitement on social networks.
Anna Bosman Thompson said the idea of excluding Lake, dead at age eight, from wedding photos was "unbearable". The boy died six months before the ceremony in May.
The ceremony took place in Colbert, in the US state of Georgia, outdoors. "It was almost unbearable to family photos without him," said Thompson.
With the help of photographer Brandy Angel, the American managed to include the child in the photos. Thompson says that Angel "managed to make some special editions" in the images.
The photographer spoke to the BBC and said that her being a mother herself, the work was "extremely exciting".
"I met Lake and made a picture of it a year ago. His spirit was amazing. It was destined to do important things and he got it. He's just not here," he said.
The photographer said it was much more difficult than many imagine getting the final image and that it was an honor to get help Lake's mother.
Thompson thanked everyone for their "love and support" given to the family since the death of her son. "Please never stop talking the name Lake", he asked.
Hundreds of other parents who have lost children commented on the photo on social networks. "I lost my two babies before they were born and could not get pregnant again. I know my babies are in heaven and one day we will meet," wrote a woman identified only as Debbie. "Lake was with you at your wedding, with a big smile on his face, he's always with you," he added.
In Thompson's Facebook page where the photo was placed on top, the comments have multiplied, with praise for the family photo.
