Kerry condemns Palestinian attacks during meeting with Netanyahu

Jerusalem, Nov 24, 2015 (AFP) - US Secretary of State, John Kerry, condemned on Tuesday a wave of Palestinian attacks against Israelis during a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.

"No one, nowhere, should live facing daily violence with attacks on the streets, knives, scissors, cars," said Kerry.

"I express my utter condemnation of any act of terror to end innocent lives," he added.

Since October 1, Jerusalem, the whole of Israel and the Palestinian territories have become the scene of a wave of violence that left more than 110 dead - including an American - and sparked fears of a new Intifada.

"I'm here to talk to the prime minister on ways to work together, all together in the international community, to roll back terrorism, senseless violence and find ways to restore calm," said Kerry.

The US will meet later with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the occupied West Bank.
