At 68, the Rolling Stones guitarist is father of twins
The Rolling Stones guitarist, Ronnie Wood, 68, became the father of twins, announced on Tuesday his spokesman.
"Ronnie and Sally are happy to announce the birth of twins Gracie Jane (2.7 kilos) and Alice Rose (2.58)," the family spokesman said in a statement.
"The girls were born on the 30th of May at 22H30 and are very well," adds the note.
The twins were born two days before the 69-year father's birthday.
Wood had four children: Jesse Wood, from his first marriage to former model Krissy Wood; Leah and Tyrone, with his second wife, Jo Wood; and Jamie, from a previous marriage to Jo, who Wood adopted.
The guitarist has nine grandchildren.
Wood and his wife, who has a theatrical production company, were married in 2012 after a six-month engagement.
The singer Rod Stewart, with which the guitarist joined the Jeff Beck Group and the Faces in the 1960s and 1970s, was the godfather of the ceremony.
Wood, who joined the Stones in 1975, is the youngest of the group.
The Rolling Stones performed in February and March in Latin America, a tour ended with a great presentation in Havana.
