How to explain the mystery behind the number 666?

Legend has it that the numerical sequence 666 is a curse, as it indicates to be a hidden bridge between the world and the devil. But why 111, 222 or any other combination could not be that such "bridge"? Many are surprised to come across this series, showing an unfounded fear caused by these numbers.

In the Bible, there are many references to that number in the book of Revelation, as being defective and belonging to the poor.

However, a biblical quotation brings us the following information:

. "Here is wisdom Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six '.
The number of the beast is the number of a man?

Theologians Leomar Brustolin and Isidoro Mazzarolo help us understand and interpret better what is behind the so feared figure. According to them, the man quoted in the passage is Nero, persecutor of Christians in Rome, better known as "the beast". They are terribly feared the Hebrews so dubbed to speak evil emperor without being discovered. In other words, it functioned as a code.

According to the Hebrew alphabet, Caesar Nero will result in 666. The Jews in turn associated to these figures the figure of an evil king. Thus, 666 is not a satanic number, but a reference to any dictator, emperor or governor who is considered cruel by his subordinates.
