David Cameron calls Afghanistan and Nigeria corrupt

Primeiro ministro do Reino Unido, David Cameron, dia 06/05/2016

British Prime Minister David Cameron returned to forget a camera while talking to the Queen and called it "corrupt fantastically" Nigeria and Afghanistan before receiving this week, their presidents at a summit against corruption .

Cameron talked to Elizabeth II and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, at a reception for the 90th anniversary of the queen.

"Leaders of some fantastically corrupt countries are," he said, referring to Thursday's summit in London. "Nigeria and Afghanistan, possibly the two most corrupt countries in the world," he insists, according to images broadcast by ITV television network.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Bahari, and the Afghan, Ashraf Ghani, monitor the London summit Thursday, as well as Colombian Juan Manuel Santos and US Secretary of State John Kerry.

The prime minister's office declined to comment on the statements, but recalled that the two presidents acknowledged the magnitude of the problem of corruption in their countries.

It is not the first time Cameron commits a gaffe. In September 2014 he had to apologize before the queen by saying she purred with pleasure, as cats do when he learned of the outcome of the Scottish referendum.

Cameron made this revelation to the former New York mayor, Michael Bloomberg, in a conversation that was picked up by the microphones and the press cameras.

"The definition of 'relief' is to be the UK's prime minister, call the queen and tell her 'everything is fine'," he said in this conversation.

The Queen "purred the phone" to learn about the "no" of Scottish independence continued Cameron.
