Galaxy Tab Iris, new tablet from Samsung
Samsung launched on Wednesday (25), in India, the Galaxy Tab Iris, the first mobile device of a large manufacturer with iris recognition technology.
According to the South Korean company, the tablet will serve for applications in banks and government electronic services such as passport, taxation, health and education, promising to save the bureaucracy with the iris replacing of the paperwork documents.
The main objective is to serve as technical support for the UIDAI, which stands for Single Authentication Authority of India. This Indian arm of government aims to generate a 12-digit identification number, called Aadhaar, to every citizen can enjoy the social benefits of the country. According to "Forbes" India is the world's data management project, it aims to reach 1.2 billion Indians --and would have achieved more than 1 billion.
