A shop in England, named Amp Shoes, announced the 50% discount on tennis sale to its opening. Within minutes people were already inside the facility to check the news.
They were, however, surprised by the approach of the seller, which showed only one foot of each model, packed in a package with some information.
The store, in fact, was promoting the items "left over" from people who needed at some point amputarem a leg because of diabetes.
The impactful action, leaving the potential consumers of shock shoes, was created by Langland agency, in partnership with the Institute Diabetes UK. "People are forgetting too fast messages in traditional channels and Langland then decided to create this fictional shoe store," said Andrew Spurgeon, executive creative director of the agency.
The campaign had the digital complement with the hashtag #OneShoe, which made people from all corners of England to share their photos wearing only one shoe. Per week, approximately 135 lower limbs are amputated in the country from the disease.
