Leader of humanitarian coordination, Ivo Freijsen, the UN, was the fourth to be expelled from the country in two years

Khartoum - The United Nations (UN) said on Sunday that the Sudanese authorities refused to renew a permit to the leader of the humanitarian coordination in Khartoum, Ivo Freijsen, saying he was being effectively expelled from the country.

A UN humanitarian team reported in Sudan expressed "shock and disappointment with the expulsion from the government of Sudan one of the top UN officials."

According to the statement, Freijsen was the UN official room to be expelled by Sudan in the past two years. In addition, the document brought the concern about the impact of the decision on the operating environment "for all humanitarian organizations in Sudan."
