New York - President Michel Temer began on Sunday 18, his first visit to the United States, with an agenda that will be divided between the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) and business event designed to introduce economic reforms proposed by his government and attempt to attract investment for infrastructure projects released last week.

A group of about 25 Brazilian received the president shouting "Out, Temer, con man" when he arrived in the late afternoon, the hotel Plaza Athénée, where you will be staying during his three-day visit to New York.

This is the second international trip of the president since his confirmation in office on 31 August. Soon after taking office, he went to China, where he attended a meeting of G-20 leaders.

On Monday, 19, Temer will make the opening speech at the UN General Assembly, which traditionally is the President of Brazil.

There is no provision for a formal meeting Temer with US President Barack Obama, but both must be found quickly in the plenary of the UN, since the US will be the second to speak.

The advisory Temer said that neither Brazil nor the US proposed a bilateral meeting between the presidents.

Temer will have private meetings with the presidents of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa; Peru, Pablo Kuczynski; and Uruguay, Tabaré Vázquez, whose government issued critical note to the impeachment of Rousseff earlier this month.
