Writer says that Wonder Woman is bisexual
Los Angeles - The writer of the comic strip "Wonder Woman" Greg Rucka said in an interview that the famous superhero is "queer", a term used to refer to people who do not identify themselves as heterosexual.
In broad conversation released by the website "Comicosity", the writer based his answer in the Utopian society of Themyscira, the land in which they live the Amazons of "Wonder Woman" and that, in his opinion, is inter alia the inclusion and acceptance of difference.
"It is supposed to be paradise, the ability to live with happiness. In a context in which a person can live happily, and part of that is to have a partner, it means that the person has the option of having a fulfilling relationship, romantic and sexual. and (in Themyscira) the only options are women, "he said Rucka.
The writer explained that social conventions, as we understand them, do not exist in the same way in this imaginary world.
"A rider does not look to another and says,.. 'You're gay' Do not do that this concept does not exist," he argued writer, that when working the character with the illustrator Nicola Scott, hinted that the superheroine " obviously "had relations with women in the past.
"Wonder Woman" is one of the most popular stories of DC Comics and will hit theaters played by Israeli actress Gal Gadot, with release date to June 1, 2017 in Brazil.
Gadot first played the character in a secondary role in the film "Batman vs. Superman: The Origin of Justice" and will also appear in "Justice League", which will arrive in theaters on November 16, 2017.
