The moment when a black cop shoots Scott, who was 43 years and seven children, can not be seen in the two-minute video made by his wife, Rakeya, which can be heard asking the police not to shoot.
"Do not shoot him he has no gun," she told police in the video, while they shouted to Scott: "Put the gun down."
About half a dozen shots can be heard on the recording released to the American press. Then she screams, "You shot him? It is better that he is not dead. "
The video was shot from a near point as the incident occurred in a parking lot in front of Rakeyia Scott.
