Dutch teacher uses clothing glued to teach anatomy

This teacher at a Dutch school found an unusual way to teach anatomy to his students. Debby Heerkens wore overalls that simulate the human body to show students the functioning of the organism in their classes of Physics and Biology Education.

She works in the small town of Hazerswoude Dorpusa and uses well play techniques to draw attention of students. In this activity, she climbs on the table and starts taking layers of clothes in front of the class. With each change, Debby reveals details of the human body through a shirt and a very fair legging pants, bringing hyper-realistic prints of musculature, organs and skeleton.

She told "CNN" that the students were surprised with the technique, but liked the results:

- First, I was a little shocked because they thought: 'the teacher is stripping'. But after viewing what was underneath.

With seven years of experience, Debby think important to seek alternative ways of teaching. In general, it incorporates books and new tools to their classes. But this was the first time I wore the clothes.

The idea came when the teacher saw a person walking with one of these parts on the street. Debby then did an online search and bought the outfits. Then asked school administration permission to put his idea into practice.

Now, she said, students ask when there will be a similar lesson. But it is not yet sure what other issues can be addressed that way.
