Toronto - Canadian authorities confirmed on Friday the first two deaths related to the large fire affecting the north of the country and forced the displacement of approximately 90,000 people.

The two dead, Emily Ryan, 15, and Aaron Hodgson, whose age was not released, died on Wednesday when the vehicle in which they left the city of Fort McMurray collided with a transport truck.

The father of Ryan, Ryan Carnley, is one of the firemen fighting the fire that forced the evacuation of 70,000 residents of Fort McMurray and 20,000 people of other communities of northeastern Alberta.

Hodgson and Ryan are the first two victims of the fire that began on Sunday night and has consumed more than 85 hectares of forest in northwestern Canada.

The fire goes out of control despite hundreds of firefighters and dozens of helicopters and planes fight the flames.

High temperatures in Alberta and strong winds fed the flames which caused the largest evacuation in the Canadian province's history.
