Former US president George W. Bush appeared on Wednesday (5) to a jury selection in a Dallas court (Texas), but ended up not being chosen, reported the local newspaper "The Dallas Morning News."
The presence of Bush surprised the other candidates to be part of the jury and also Eric Moye judge, who did not expect the former president took his duties as a citizen so seriously.
"It would be fantastic that everyone fulfilled their legal obligations in the same way. He understood what was important and had a good attitude," said the magistrate the Texan newspaper.
Charismatic, Bush remained all morning in court. I decided to pass the time playing and taking pictures with the potential members of the jury and court staff, images that circulate through social networks.
"I was sitting, looked fast and I thought.. I think I know this one He talked and laughed That made the situation even funnier," said Joel Ehambe, one of the candidates the jury, which also took the opportunity to take a picture with the former president.
Bush was not chosen to be part of the jury, as it ended up being drawn with the number 27 of the 35 participants. The selection was terminated after 23 jurors, the judge explained.
"One of the observations I made the jury was:. 'All the ladies and gentlemen have other things to do, but to see that a former president found time to be here' Think well if their excuses are real," Moye told "The Dallas Morning News. "
