Trump: other candidates who left the Republican race, as Ted Cruz, John Kasich and Ben Carson, received votes in Washington

The tycoon Donald Trump, only Republican aspirant in the American presidential race, has taken another step to make the statement as party candidate to win on Tuesday, the primary in Washington state.

The press announced the victory of the New York billionaire shortly after the end of voting.

The first results show that Trump received 76% of votes, according to the secretary of the state of Washington.

Trump is the presumptive Republican presidential candidate.

The tycoon had 1,189 delegates before the primary in Washington, according to CNN, only 48 less than the 1,237 needed to secure the nomination.

Washington had 44 delegates at stake. So Trump must overcome the required number and officially secure the nomination as a candidate on June 7, the last day of the Republican primaries, which will take place in California and four other states.

Other candidates who left the Republican race, as Senator Ted Cruz, Governor of Ohio John Kasich and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, received votes in Washington.

Trump an inexperienced candidate and leads a campaign that sparked a turnaround in American politics, will be officially designated Republican candidate at the party's national convention in July in Cleveland, Ohio.

He began to concentrate his campaign in the general elections, with heavy criticism of his likely Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.

Former Secretary of State countered the attacks, but is still in the last stages of the Democratic race against Senator Bernie Sanders.
