China urges caution the South Korean leader over US missiles
Beijing - Chinese President Xi Jinping, warned on Wednesday the South Korean Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn, for your government to act "with caution" about the US intention to deploy in South Korea the system THAAD missile.
Xi and Hwang gathered today on the occasion of the visit to Beijing of the latter, and the Chinese leader urged South Korea meets the security concerns that the possible deployment of THAAD caused in China, the official agency "Xinhua".
Therefore, the President of China asked the South Korean prime minister that the Seoul government addresses this issue "cautiously and appropriately."
Washington's plan to send this system to its South Korean ally is the product of the last nuclear test by North Korea in January, although the project has received a firm refusal of China and Russia, who fear the high power of the device radars missile.
China and South Korea, Xi said, should continue working for the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, work together to maintain peace and stability, and solve the problems through dialogue.
Both Beijing and Moscow believe that the "missile shield" US may increase tensions between the two Koreas and asked Washington repeatedly to rectify his stance.
The Chinese government is in favor of resuming the six-sided negotiations (between the two Koreas, the US, Japan, China and Russia) to the denuclearization of North Korea, which have been stalled since 2008.
