London - The holder of Labor and Social Security of the UK, Stephen Crabb, presented on Wednesday his candidacy for the leadership of the Conservative Party, which is currently in power, and was the first to do so after the opening date for the proposition the names of possible replacements for Prime Minister David Cameron.

Crabb, who supported the permanence of the UK in the European Union (EU), said that his intention is to unite the party, but ruled out his support for the convening of a second referendum on the EU after the held last Thursday, in which won the option "Brexit".

Conservative MPs who intend to occupy the party leadership have until noon place tomorrow (8am GMT) to enroll in the race to replace Cameron, who announced on Friday his intention to resign in October after the referendum result on the EU.

"We must not allow this election for the leadership to be set between those who want to stay (in the EU) and the 'Brexit'. The faster we focus on the future, the best opportunities we have to unite our party and the country," said Crabb , 43.

The conservative politician said he will try to meet the aspirations of the 17 million voters who voted "Brexit" so stressed the importance of controlling the immigration policy of the country, the main argument of those who supported the exit of Community block.

For Crabb, negotiations on the output of the EU should reflect the "needs of each part of the UK" (in reference to England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland).

Once closed the deadline for applications, will start the internal election phase, which will end with the appointment of leader on 9 September.

The so-called Committee 1922, which is part of the conservative parliamentary group, will be in charge of supervising this choice and the final decision is in the hands of all members of the party.

If there are multiple candidates, there will be a series of elections between the 331 Conservative MPs for competitors to be eliminated by remaining after two, which will be submitted to a vote of the membership.

In each vote, one will be eliminated, which rely on the lowest support of the deputies, so the amount of votes will depend on the number of candidates present themselves.

Among the favorite members for leadership include the former mayor of London, Boris Johnson, who made strong campaign in favor of Britain leaving the EU, and the Interior Minister, Theresa May, who supported the country stay on the block, but it is seen as a figure capable of unifying the party.
