European advocates of children's rights made a joint appeal on Tuesday to denounce the serious shortcomings of public policies for the protection of minors migrants.
"Migrant children are, above all, vulnerable children and it is the responsibility of states and legal and moral responsibility of each of us to protect them from the dangers that expoõem," the participants of the meeting in UNESCO.
In addition to asking the European Union countries facilitate migration through the "family reunification" procedure, suggested the creation of "an appropriate and effective system of identification, registration and census" of migrant children arriving in Europe and the member states appoint a legal guardian for each minor.
